@wei_koh_revolution sits down with @georgeskern , CEO of @breitling, at Dubai Watch Week 2025 to discuss the revival of one of watchmaking’s most storied names: Universal Genève @universalgeneve.
In a candid, wide-ranging conversation, Kern reflects on leadership under pressure, the value of restraint in an age of noise, and why endurance, patience, and originality matter more than ever. Together, they explore the philosophy guiding Universal Genève’s return — from quiet luxury and emotional surprise to its identity as “the tailor of watchmaking.”
The discussion touches on Nina Rindt–inspired chronographs, grand feu enamel dials, hand-crafted straps made by master artisans, and the challenge of translating haute couture–level craftsmanship into modern, wearable watchmaking — without losing soul, elegance, or integrity.
A rare look at how Universal Genève is being reintroduced not as nostalgia, but as a contemporary expression of culture, taste, and enduring design.

Time Check
Episode 01
We begin 2026 with a new segment — Time Check — where we spotlight cool watches on collectors’ wrists every week… or sometimes, just on Constant.
The first post of 2026 is a nod to our very first reel of 2025, a simple reenactment featuring two friends and their watches.
Featuring on the wrists are the @mbandf Legacy Machine Sequential EVO in Zirconium, @mingwatches 20.11 and the @patekphilippe Ref. 570G, circa 1960s.
Wishing everyone a wonderful, prosperous year ahead. Happy New Year.

@simon_brette_watches has been one of the biggest names in independent horology since his debut in 2023, and his latest release shows he’s not content to rest on his laurels.
The Simon Brette Chronomètre Artisans Stainless Steel isn’t just exciting for its steel case, but for its chameleonic dial. The recognisable “Aurora Waves” pattern has been treated with an Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) coating that shifts from vivid violet to deep green, accented by luminous ceramic inserts.
While the watch is certainly expressive, it walks a compelling line between classical watchmaking and contemporary aesthetics.
And what’s more, a stainless steel bracelet is on the way — though we’ll have to wait until @watchesandwonders to see it.

@wei_koh_revolution sits down with Bernhard Lederer — joined later by Yann von Kaenel — to explore the story, philosophy, and human craft behind the @lederertimepieces Lederer CIC 39 “Eddy Jaquet & Yann von Kaenel” for Revolution.
From the origins of the Central Impulse Chronometer and George Daniels’ enduring influence, to the pursuit of true regularity through dual remontoirs and a dual detent escapement, the conversation goes deep into why advancing fundamental horology still matters today. The discussion then turns to the dial — where Yann von Kaenel’s hand-guided guilloché and Eddy Jaquet’s gratté engraving bring emotion, symbolism, and historical resonance to life.
A rare look behind the scenes of a watch born from chronometry, métiers d’art, and independent watchmaking philosophy.

Limited to just five numbered pieces.

A big thank you to everyone who tuned in and cheered us on for Season One of Man of the Hour. We’re immensely grateful to have you with us on this incredible journey into the heart of independent watchmaking. Man of the Hour exists because of a community that believes watchmaking is more than mere objects. It’s about people and their families, their passion and craft. Here’s to celebrating the makers, the moments and the magic.
🇺🇸 From 9 January 2026, all eight episodes will be available for streaming on discovery+ in the United States.
The story continues — and there’s more to come. 😉

It has been incredible watching your nominations and votes come in. To those of you who nominated, shared and voted, thank you!
🥁🥁 The 2025 Community Choice Award goes to @seltenwatch @watchhoandco Selten × Watch Ho & Co — Jui.
More than a watch, Jui resonated as a shared experience. Time and again, comments you shared spoke about its value as club watch that focused on community from the onset. From its engraved mother-of-pearl dial to the intent behind the collaboration, Jui connected on both an emotional and visual level.
✨ Honorable Mention — @krayon.ch Krayon Anyday
Widely admired for its originality, Anyday stood out for offering a ingenious new way of visualising the calendar, described by many as simple, useful and quietly innovative.
We’d also like to congratulate the rest of this year’s nominees (listed alphabetically):
@montresbreguet Breguet Expérimentale No. 1, @fam_al_hut_official Fam Al Hut Möbius, @hazemannmonnin Hazemann & Monnin HM01, and @waktuhorology Waktu Horology Klasik: Hitam.
Again, thank you to everyone who voted and took part. This award belongs to the community — and with that, happy new year!

The Lederer CIC 39 “Eddy Jaquet & Yann von Kaenel” for Revolution brings together the dream team of independent watchmaker Bernhard Lederer, master engraver Eddy Jaquet and guilloché virtuoso Yann von Kaenel.
It is based on Lederer’s Central Impulse Chronometer, powered by his landmark in-house movement with dual detent escapement, two 15-second remontoirs d’égalité, and a proprietary crown wheel system. The dial is a shimmering work of métiers d’art in German silver, combining hand-cut rose-engine guilloché, vertical guilloché on the small seconds, and an exquisitely hand-engraved sector track. Subtle, monochromatic and alive with light and shadow.
Limited to just five numbered pieces.
Available on RevolutionWatch.com from 29 December 2025.

Presenting the @lederertimepieces Lederer CIC 39 “Eddy Jaquet & Yann Von Kaenel” for Revolution, an exclusive five-piece limited edition of Bernard Lederer’s incredible 39mm Central Impulse Chronometer, replete with two 15-second remontoirs, equipped with his proprietary crown wheel mechanism, and featuring what we consider to be one of the most ravishing dials in all of watchmaking.
Crafted by master guillochéur Yann von Kaenel and legendary engraver Eddy Jaquet, the German silver dial combines rose-engine and straight-line guilloché with hand-engraved gratté finishing on the sector track, producing a shimmering play of light and texture. Housed in a perfectly sized 39mm stainless steel case, this iteration of Lederer’s CIC 39 balances mechanical audacity with classical restraint.

The nominations are in — and they reveal just how broad the watch conversation has become in 2025. From culturally rooted, community-driven projects to technically ambitious watchmaking, this year’s Community Choice contenders span a wide range of price points, philosophies and mechanical complexity.
Among the nominees are watches shaped by collaboration and cultural identity, alongside others defined by original movement architecture, unconventional mechanics and innovative approaches to chronometry. Some focus on accessibility and meaning, others on pushing the limits of what modern mechanical watchmaking can achieve — and many sit somewhere in between.
Across the shortlist, the diversity is striking: from the community-led collaboration and symbolic dial work of @seltenwatch and @watchhoandco`s Jui, to @waktuhorology`s Klasik: Hitam’s emphasis on Malay cultural storytelling rooted in Singapore. There is @hazemannmonnin`s HM01’s movement-first approach as a debut independent statement alongside the @fam_al_hut_official`s Mark 1 Möbius’s bold unconventional aesthetics, @krayon.ch`s Anyday’s new way of visualising the calendar and last but not least, the @montresbreguet`s Expérimentale No. 1’s single-minded pursuit of chronometric precision.
That diversity is exactly the point. The Community Choice Award isn’t about defining a single “right” answer, but reflecting what resonated across the community this year.
Official voting is now open — comment one of the nominated watches below to cast your vote. Voting closes 30 December, 23:59, with the winner announced on 31 December.
We are honoured to share that @wei_koh_revolution is one of the top contenders for GQ’s Watch Collector of the Year.
As founder of @revolution.watch and @therake, Wei has spent decades championing watchmaking, its community and its culture. As the host and executive producer of @manofthehourofficial, Wei takes viewers on a journey that weaves together adventure, cultural exploration and expert insight, via the incredible stories of people and families who built extraordinary watch brands.
This recognition isn’t just about collecting beautiful extraordinary watches. It also reminds us that horology, at its best, reflects who we are and what we value.
Thank you @gq and @camjwolf for celebrating the spirit behind the work.

@wei_koh_revolution sits down with John Mayer @johnmayer at Dubai Watch Week 2025 @dubaiwatchweek for a conversation that cuts straight to the heart of why he’s become one of the most influential voices in contemporary watch culture. Mayer isn’t just a musician with a collection — he’s a thinker whose instincts and clarity of taste shape trends, shift markets, and spark deeper conversations about the emotional, historical, and artistic dimensions of horology.
Across music and watches, his perspective carries weight: a longtime enthusiast with a sharp eye for technical nuance and design integrity, a former @gphg_official GPHG juror, and now @audemarspiguet’s Creative Conduit — a role that bridges collectors, creators, and the cultural landscape they move in.
In this moment from their discussion, Mayer reflects on the joy of being impressionable — how ideas travel between people, across cities, and through subcultures. From @fujiwarahiroshi Hiroshi Fujiwara to the streets of Tokyo, he and Wei explore how cultural leaders expand what’s possible, and how that same openness guides the evolution of a collector’s eye. Because in watches, as in style, great taste isn’t fixed — it’s something shaped through curiosity, discovery, and the willingness to see differently.
