| To The People |

Words and Music by Human I shed a tear, when the towers fell, I saw a living hell, But I didn’t ask for more killing, I saw fear in the people’s eyes, those were confusing time, but how can another war make it end. The President aligned with the corporate machine, Exploiting dead Americans, he said spend that stinky green, And draped in a flag, they started bombing Afghanistan, Who’ll tell the people, that no amount of killing’s gonna bring their families back, Chorus: Go tell it on the mountain, we don’t need no more killing in this world. Go tell it to the people, stop putting your fears inside these little boys and girls, it ain’t there mess, but their the ones who’ll have to clean it up, When all is said and done, what we need is more love. I have visions of another time, a world without fear, a world without border lines, where we are all world citizens, A world where children play freely in a colorful society, where everyone and everything is treated equally, Jesus came to Earth to teach compassion and respect, so why are so many Humans living just the opposite, Hatred will only bring us pain we need compassion and respect, We’ve gotta love ourselves, so we can learn to love everybody else… Chorus: Go tell it on the mountain, we don’t need no more killing in this world. Go tell it to the people, stop putting your fears inside these children When all we have is love, what else do we need, When all is said and done what we need is more love. |
